I got the cutest book ever in the mail from the lovely people at black dog books, it is called One Stitch at a Time: The complete toymaking kit and is the perfect beginners guide to toy making.
Annie was mega impressed and wanted to get started now! right now! pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease mum.

Luckily for Annie, all the fabric and stuffing you need to make the cat pictured on the front of the book is included in the sewing box and mummy has lots of needles and threads in her cross stitch stash. Even the cute little fish shaped button is included in the sewing box (can you spot it in the picture below 
)

One Stitch at a Time: The complete toymaking kit is presented in two parts, there is the box which includes the sewing box and a fold out cover, inside this is the instruction book. My quilting sister in law got to have a peek at the book also and was very impressed with how nicely it is presented and the contents of the sewing box.

The instructions and pattern are really clear and easy to follow, I was thrilled to see the great illustrations which clearly demonstrate how each item is to be used and what to do next. Fantastic introduction to sewing for my visual learners

At the end of the book is a ‘Mix N Match’ section where you can design new accessories for they toy you have made. I think this was Annie’s favourite section

I’ve fallen in love with this little book and have already purchased a couple more to use as gifts, the fantastic presentation makes it a really nice gift and at only $24.99 it is a very affordable gift also.
